It was estimated that in excess of 250 members, family and friends of Golf 2-7 V V A attended our Memorial Monument's dedication on the morning of July 23, 2011. Our dedication was held in the National Museum Marine Corps Leatherneck Gallery at 11 AM and opened with a Marine Color Guard. Don Gray (1967-68) was the Master of Ceremonies and made introductions. He was followed by Jim Maedgen, President (1967-68), Rick Lewis, Golf 2-7 V V A Chaplin (1969), and the seven readers of our 185 fallen brothers' names, August Miele (1965), Bobby Donaldson (1966-67), Ron Myers (1967-68), Bruce Guthrie (1967-68), Jim Stroman (1967-68), Frank Rodriquez (1969) and Danny Scala (1970). The ceremony closed with taps.
